Farmer Mike just met with a pre-school class at the Urbana early childhood development school.
We talked about pumpkins and growing food. Each kid got a Jack-be-little Pumpkin to take home.

Today Farmer Mike hosted 27 seniors from the University of Illinois - College of early childhood development, and their instructors at the Homegrown Farm. Chef Logan constructed a farm to table salad for the class, and we sampled various fruits and veggies from the gardens.
We discussed growing food and project management.
It was great to see young adults so excited about locally produced food!

Tomatoes, beans, eggplant, sweetcorn, mandurian cucumbers, slicing cucumbers, giant marigolds, and purple Jacaranda broccoli. 🙂
