A fall tradition we never skip! Every fall, without fail, I make my way to Magnolia Meadow Farms in Thurmont. And if you're looking for a fun way to spend a fall day in Frederick County, this is one to put on your list!

Explore Maryland's largest corn maze, pick your own pumpkins and flowers, grab apple c***r donuts, and enjoy hayrides, farm animals, apple cannons, slides, pedal carts, food, drinks, live music and more.

🇮🇹 🌋 A cozy corner, next-level pasta, and a little taste of modern Italy… what do they have in common? One word: .

We finally made it to Vesuvius in Urbana, and let’s just say… consider us officially obsessed. This spot is a refreshing addition to the Frederick food scene — upscale but approachable, stylish without trying too hard, and the kind of place you immediately start planning your next visit before dessert even hits the table.

We kicked things off with the grilled octopus and polenta antipasti (tender, flavorful, chef’s kiss). Then came the lobster ravioli and the seafood zafferano, both packed with bold, beautifully balanced flavors.

Dessert? A deconstructed cannoli and a chocolate lava cake that disappeared way too fast. No regrets.

And the cocktails? Two of the best we’ve had all year. The Somma Smash and Carina’s Fig were bright, balanced, and dangerously sippable.
