We finally made it to Vesuvius in Urbana, and letโs just sayโฆ consider us officially obsessed. This spot is a refreshing addition to the Frederick food scene โ upscale but approachable, stylish without trying too hard, and the kind of place you immediately start planning your next visit before dessert even hits the table.
We kicked things off with the grilled octopus and polenta antipasti (tender, flavorful, chefโs kiss). Then came the lobster ravioli and the seafood zafferano, both packed with bold, beautifully balanced flavors.
Dessert? A deconstructed cannoli and a chocolate lava cake that disappeared way too fast. No regrets.
And the cocktails? Two of the best weโve had all year. The Somma Smash and Carinaโs Fig were bright, balanced, and dangerously sippable.
