The 2026 Minnesota Legislative Session begins today! And next week, representatives from Minnesota's poultry industry, including Minnesota Turkey and North Central Poultry Association, will head to Saint Paul to meet with elected officials and agency leaders.
Minnesota leads the nation in turkey production, raising 40 million birds annually and generating $16 billion in economic activity for the state. It is crucial this industry is able to continue to thrive in Minnesota and has the support to overcome challenges such as HPAI.

Minnesota Poultry Day on the Hill is your chance to be part of the democratic process and make your voice heard on behalf of the poultry industry. 🐔

The NCPA is partnering with Minnesota Turkey to bring growers and industry leaders together for meaningful conversations with legislators about key issues impacting our industry. Meetings will wrap up by 3:00 PM, and lunch will be provided.

🎓 Scholarship Opportunity for Iowa Students! 🐔🥚

The Iowa Poultry and Egg Scholarship Foundation is awarding scholarships to graduating high school seniors and returning undergraduate students attending a four-year university.

Eligible students must be Iowa residents or attend an Iowa-based school, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, demonstrate leadership and volunteer involvement, and be planning a future career working with poultry. Applicants should be able to show their interest in the industry through past involvement and accomplishments.

📅 Applications and all required documents are due by March 1.
