Some fun updates! We finished our first week of Camp Champs! We were so busy we didn’t take many photos but this one of Kate riding in style to Champs and Alexia working hard sum it up!

Bella has been busy helping to restock Millie for our events this week and Nic and Katie got to introduce our friend Jeff to the Cups team and were able to tape Jeff’s 351st podcast epidode! He loved the Outside Scoop Ankeny treat!

This week we launch our Summer Prep Workshops at the Learning Center so we can’t wait to report back on that!

After a successful debut year, Food Truck Friday is returning to West Des Moines City Hall! Every Friday this summer, between Memorial Day and Labor Day, enjoy a different mix of local food trucks each week featuring tacos, sushi, BBQ, pizza, coffee, ice cream, grinders, and more.

New tutor alert!! Please welcome Gretchen Fackler to our team!

"My name is Gretchen Fackler. I am excited to join The Learning Center with 25 years of teaching experience, including classroom instruction, serving as a reading and math interventionist, and working as an instructional coach. I received my teaching degree from UNI, though my family cheers for the Iowa Hawkeyes any chance we get! When I'm not teaching 3rd graders, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two sons, and two very high maintenance dogs. Helping children build their confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching, and I look forward to inspiring that growth this summer! I feel very fortunate to be able to be involved in this amazing opportunity!"
