Meet Himaya, our pet-quality silver penciled bantam cochin! She doesn’t join her sisters in the breeding pen, but she knows she’s beautiful in her own way ;)

I’m a firm believer in the fact that chicken-owning is meant to be FUN! Keep the ones you love. Some of my favorite chickens are the ones I have no breeding plan for—they stay in my pet coop and make me happy every day ☀️

This is mine. I think it’s her eyes and the fact she always looks like she wants to hurt me 🤷🏻‍♀️

I also just noticed the tiny porcelain cockerel in the corner. I’m honestly not sure which one I trust less.

Finally got our little Bobtail Bantam Cochin decoration painted and hung on the coop! 🥰

I looked everywhere online for Bantam Cochin decor and couldn't find a single thing, so we decided to make our own. Really happy with how it turned out!

Next up are the Silver Penciled and Porcelain hens. If those turn out well, we might make these available for purchase next year. Would you hang one on your coop? 🐔
