Our Story:
The Deck Family has been active in the Food Service Industry since 1979. Mike and Kelly both meeting at a popular Greek restaurant, Symeons. From there, Mike attended and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. In 1992, Mike and Kelly opened up their own restaurant in New Hartford called Olivia's Cafe. Their daughters, Olivia and Mikelle also have been working in different food establishments, in and out of the area, supporting themselves while attending college and beyond.
While visiting other major cities we noticed all of them had Food Tours. We took our first tour in Boston and we were hooked! Although the food was delicious, we soon realized that the uniqueness of food in Utica is second to none. There is not another area that can compare to our culinary diversity and outstanding dishes. We soon decided to bring the Food Tour business to Utica and hope you will share in our excitement as we bring our Culinary Venture home.
