Well had replacements running with the fall cows and the dec Jan covers/ET recips. So a few of them needed to ruin with the bull. Anyway i seen a couple of the bigger fall heifers bulling. So I figured there might be 5 or 6 bred. No big deal calve at 18 to 20 months. So 110J bull in July 4 switched bulls on the 20th of July, 111J in pulled Aug 21. Should be 48 days I was a little slow or it rained and didn't get 45.

Anyway have not checked replacements that should be bred. But checked fall heifers , was going to do a courtesy pelvic check make sure no odd shapes. And figured January ets wouldn't be able to get my hand on. So ultrasound that are 8 to 12 months old. Because just easier to ruin calf and ets together. Well fertility running rampant with some actual grass growth this year. 13 bred 40 to 65 days. 4 maybes at 30- 35 , and 7 open that are late dec. Or January et calves.

And the fall cows have started.

106J , Irish Black horned bull progeny. 580C bull x 290U cow. Pretty sure these are his half sisters . Seems to remove white. His sire would throw extra white about 1 to 2 % of the time on solid cows. B&w is prolly 1/8 Longhorn. The 2 red and white. Were out of solid red cows. He did throw a white foot and a white belly on some registered black 3 year olds so far a couple more spots and we'll see.
