🇺🇸 250 Years of America – From Our Farm to Yours 🇺🇸

This year marks 250 years since America declared its independence — a milestone worth celebrating from the ground up, right here on our farm where we work the same soil generations before us tended.

As we celebrate, it’s worth remembering George Washington’s farewell address, where he urged Americans to hold onto something bigger than any political party or faction. He warned that letting party spirit take over could weaken the very unity that made the country strong, and he reminded citizens that their identity as Americans should always matter more than any dividing label. He believed the nation’s strength came from that shared sense of belonging to one country, one people, with a common future.

That message feels just as true today as it did 250 years ago. Whatever our differences, we’re all neighbors, and we all have a stake in this land and this country. This Independence Day, we’re grateful for the freedom to grow, to build, and to gather — and grateful to be part of a community that still knows how to come together.

We were in the end of the rain last night again, receiving another .20”. We’re thankful for the moisture regardless of the amount.

We ask the Lord to be with the folks in the Huron area who were on the receiving end of what sounds like 100+mph winds yesterday. Be their light in this time of darkness as they assess and cleanup the damage. Help them look for You during trying times like these.

In addition to this timely, God sent rain, we’ve received another 0.35” from the last few systems.

Thankfully, we haven’t gotten anything severe and we are thinking of and sending our prayers to those who have been affected by severe wind damage out West.

The Lord blessed us with 1.5” of rain earlier this morning.

We are very grateful for the timely moisture!

We received 1.1” between Sunday-Tuesday night. That should help for the short term but with highs in the 90s and heat indexes of over 100 for most of next week, things will probably start showing some stress.

I have mixed feelings on AI but instances like this, it’s pretty cool.

All together, farming up in the sky. They sent us a nice, 0.7” of rain today as well.

We have some pretty wonderful Dads here at Hunhoff Heritage Farm that we are incredibly thankful for who put in a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears over the generations.
