We would like to offer tips and tricks to our viewers on all things homesteading. Come and get a glimpse of the crazy, country life. When I first started my goat adventure I just wanted goats for our homestead and for all the amazing things that goats contribute to a farm. They give so many things that you would never think about like manure for your garden. Now that I have had goats for a couple

years I can say I have them for a whole different reason. I'm just in love with goats. They are hands down the most sweetest animals, and they are just hilarious. Just the other day I was looking out my window and I find my goat Virgie with a bucket stuck around her neck. they just get themselves into the silliest predicaments. I love waking every morning and greeting these sweet animals. In return they give me the most awesome milk. If you have ever tried goat milk from the store, it tastes nothing like that. In fact my goat's milk tastes just like cow’s milk but possible creamier. There are so many health benefits to goat’s milk and it goes beyond just consuming it. The biggest thing that I have learned in the last few months is that goat milk soap is the best thing you can ever put on your skin. I noticed the difference after one use. My skin is softer and not dry anymore. Yes, even through the winter months. So this is my new adventure. It's been in the making for about 4-5 years now and I finally get to see the results. Who knows maybe it will take off or maybe not, but at least I know my family is going to be set up for milk, cheese, cream, butter, soap, lotion, etc... The best part is I get to see baby goats every fall. I hope you enjoy the pictures I post of all the shenanigans from Georgia On My Pine Farm.

I have some squash plants available. Tromboncino squash, butternut squash, jack O’ Lantern pumpkin, and small sugar pumpkin (great for pumpkin pie).

Now is the time to plant your pumpkin plants if you want them for Halloween. Winter squash will vine out all the way into the first frost date in November.

What is a luffa? It’s a gourd! But when you dry it out on the vine it becomes a sponge. Many people like to use the luffa in soap making, or even to make dish sponges. It becomes a great exfoliator on the feet even.

Try and grow them yourself! It’s a fun plant to grow. It’s a vining plant that needs a trellis or a fence line. It will grow all the way until our first frost, which is usually in November.
