Hey folks.......We are sorry to report that due to the extreme heat expected today we must cancel our hot dog sale. It just would not be wise to stay outside all day at my age. We will try again next weekend.
Thank you and again, we are sorry.
"...Heat Index Values of 105 to 110 Degrees This Afternoon...
High temperatures will range from the mid 90s near the Coastal
Plains to as high as 104 along the Rio Grande. The airmass will
remain humid across most areas with afternoon relative humidity
values ranging from the upper 20s along the Rio Grande to the
lower 50s near the Coastal Plains. The combination of the hot
temperatures and elevated humidity levels will produce maximum
heat index values of 105 to 107 degrees across most areas this
afternoon. Some spots may reach 108 to 110 and could require the
issuance of a heat advisory. Take extra precautions if you work or
spend time outside. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing
when possible and drink plenty of water. Heat index values should
drop below 100 degrees shortly after sunset as temperatures begin
to slowly drop.
