WE ARE HEADING TO THE SLAUGHTER HOLDING FACILITY RIGHT NOW…

Losing Bandit reminded me of something important.

We can’t save them all.

People also remind us in our comment sections all the time.

“You cannot save them all.”

Yes that’s true. I don’t think we’ve thought we were invincible or infallible.

We just thought we could make a difference.

So for the ones we can save?

It matters. It makes a difference.

Dying on a slaughter plant floor, or entering our rescue?

What would you choose?

What would you want?

We have to believe in the good. We have to focus on each life that we change forever with your help.

So yes… we’re going back.

I hope that’s okay with you.

If you can’t donate at this time, we understand and thank you for your gracious support.

I ask you to consider a small $3 or $5 donation before you sit totally out. It might seem insignificant to you but if our entire following took it.. heck if 20% did.. that’s potentially a million dollars.

$3 matters.

It makes such a difference in that we’re not doing this alone.

Please share the posts. I can’t make people see this on their timeline, or make the algorithm work in our favor.

We need 4000-5000 shares every time.

THATS how we finish the pen quickly by reaching new audiences. We can be a solider for CCR just by sharing.

Interact. Comment. Sit here with us.

Money isn’t everything when it comes to saving these horses.

Support is.

I’ll see you out there soon.

Together— we will make a difference. One by one. Life by life.

All our love,
O xoxo A

We’ve received confirmation that a large number of draft workhorses are currently being held in a slaughter facility.
Since a major plant ended contracts with an Ohio supplier, demand has doubled at this location — and so has the price per pound. As a result, horses are being shipped out quietly and consistently, with little public awareness. The doors remain closed. The process stays hidden. And the horses disappear out of sight, out of mind.
Inside that facility, every horse is on a short timeline.
Draft foals are being pulled from their mothers and sold to the highest bidder — straight into the slaughter pipeline. Their cries are heartbreaking.
Draft horses are known for their gentle, trusting nature. They work willingly, bond deeply with their people, and give everything they have. They will push through injury, illness, and exhaustion without complaint. True gentle giants.
And when they can no longer work? Many are sent to auction and discarded. After a lifetime of service, this is their “retirement.”
Ally and I are prepared to walk into this facility and do everything we can to pull as many as possible to safety — but we cannot do it alone.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working on the front lines, one horse at a time. We remove horses from brutal conditions, provide rehabilitation and medical care, and place them in carefully vetted forever homes or lifelong sanctuary. For those suffering beyond recovery, we offer compassionate release. We also track and follow our horses long-term to ensure they never return to situations like this.
We know we cannot save them all.
But we can save these.
Their lives matter. Please help us show them they are not forgotten.

𝗔 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 (𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀):

Most of the time, it’s not the judge.

When I watch tests back with riders, the issue is rarely the movement itself.

It’s the basics underneath it.

Here are 𝟲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 — 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝘁 👇

1️⃣ 𝗔 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱

If the horse loses balance, changes rhythm, or drops onto the forehand,

the transition wasn’t good — even if it was on the letter.

2️⃣ 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁

Straight lines need to be straight.

Circles need to be round.

“Nearly right” geometry is an easy way to lose marks.

3️⃣ 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱

Impulsion is engagement and connection.

If the horse is running or the contact isn’t consistent, the movement won’t score.

4️⃣ 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲

If you’re crooked, the horse will be crooked.

If you’re busy, the horse will be tight.

Good riding is quiet, stable, and clear.

5️⃣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀

The way you enter, halt, and present the horse sets the tone.

It’s not about being fancy — it’s about being organised and confident.

6️⃣ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

You either look at the test honestly…

or you start blaming away.

Only one of those leads to better scores next time.

Most riders don’t need harder movements.

They need to make the simple things 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿.
