I do stop… and my stops count. 🙏🏾

This picture is my view while lying down in the sanctuary, taking a quiet break during my workday. No noise. No rushing. Just peace and a moment with God.

Moments like this restore my energy, strengthen my faith, and remind me to keep trusting the process with Brisket Daddy BBQ. Sometimes the best rest is simply being still.

Today, I’m watching it happen in real time.

What started as a gift…
What became a passion…
What required years of work, sacrifice, prayer, discipline, consistency, and faith… IS MAKING ROOM.

Brisket Daddy BBQ catered for the Golden 1 Credit Union, and for me, this is so much bigger than another catering event.

This is a FULL CIRCLE MOMENT.

I have been a Golden 1 Credit Union member since 8th grade opens my first account in the Florin and Green haven office.

When I was a senior in high school, Golden 1 gave me my first car loan.

Years later, when I stepped out on faith and officially launched Brisket Daddy BBQ LLC, one of the financial tools helping me build this company was one of Golden 1’s newly offered business banking accounts.

And now…

“A man’s gift maketh room for him…”

I understand that scripture on another level today.

From being a teenage member…

To financing my first car…

To becoming a business owner banking with them…

To now pulling up with my own truck, my own crew, my own equipment, my own brand, and my own company to serve the very credit union that has been part of my journey for all these years.

That hits different.

God has a way of connecting the dots.

Sometimes you’re working so hard in the middle of the journey that you don’t realize where the road is taking you.

You’re just trying to stay faithful.

Trying to keep going.

Trying to get better.

Trying to honor the gift God put inside of you.

And then one day, you look up and realize…

THE GIFT HAS MADE ROOM.

People see the brisket.

People see the events.

People see the pictures.

People see the finished product.

But they don’t always see the 15-hour workdays.

They don’t see the 4:00 AM mornings.

They don’t see the late nights.

The preparation.

The mistakes.

The sacrifices.

The money invested.

The lessons learned the hard way.

The praying.

The planning.

The loading trucks.

The unloading trucks.

Yup we did it again. Showed up showed out and sold out. I think we ran off the taco guy. He closed up shop and left early. Our brisket tacos were our biggest seller today. We were busy from 8 AM until 2 PM. I guess because I brought back that yoke and smoke with a crispy hash brown. We had to go buy more eggs and croissants they were selling like hotcakes. The client was so grateful and gave us a gold coin of excellence and said that our brisket tacos were the gold standard. Now to the commercial kitchen to do the dishes and clean out the smoker. ❤️

Before that brisket ever reaches your plate, We’re purchasing and selecting the right cut, trimming, seasoning and managing a live fire for 12 hours. Then wrapping it with beef tallow, and hot-holding it for another 12 hours until the tenderness, flavor and bark are right.

Brisket Daddy BBQ isn’t simply selling meat we’re planning and executing a proven process that produces consistent results and some of the best brisket in the Sacramento area.
