They both decided to open a grocery store in Valdese, NC on April 13, 2007. The store was named Garden Market Oriental Food. In 2009 we bought a building with its own property. My parents quickly decided to take the offer and we moved the store. A year or two afterwards we changed and finalize our name from Garden Market Oriental Food to Xieng Khouang Market Place. We have been open for 10 years and still attracting new and old customers.
