Our mechanical and schedule break has brought some urgent things to our attention.

When we started Valdez Market, our goal was to help families, individuals, and businesses afford food here more easily. We are proud of being able to do that for a whole year! However, we realized that the sacrifice our family at home was making was increasing as we continued. With new needs at home arising, we have decided to close the Market.

We appreciate all the community members who ordered and supported Valdez Market. Thank you for your support!

Due to some lingering mechanical, and scheduling issues, we are sorry to report Valdez Market is taking an indefinite break from delivering groceries.

For our business spotlight today: This business has made such a good name for themselves, they don’t need any help from us! We love how Rogue’s Garden has created a beautiful hot spot with absolutely delicious food. This week we tried the asparagus soup. My toddler LOVED it! I even was able to make a custom sandwich that was delicious. Thank you to such a well run business!

Another day another small business highlight!

When we go to Providence it seems like we always forget to pack snacks. Luckily, we ge to check out “the snack robot” as our little helper calls it.

If you haven’t tried snackbox vending, it’s sweet! They have gluten free snacks, high protein, and some classics.

If you haven’t tried them out, there are machines at the hospital, the airport and PWSC. In May one will move to Kelsey dock.

While we take a week for maintenance, we wanted to highlight some of our favorite local businesses. Starting a business in Valdez has a lot of unique challenges. We love The Coffee Co. for going above and beyond! Even picky eaters love it! Watch the next week for more of our favorite local businesses!
