With all the lab grown meat and the corporations out here selling meat to family’s that don’t have any taste or nutritional value anymore, why would you be excited to throw tofu patties, and frozen cardboard hamburger meat on the grill? Well, we were here to serve your family and also provide nutritious beef. We have a few openings left on some orders for fresh steaks, hamburger meat, and lots more. So we are excited to announce that we have expanded and we couldn’t thank our customers enough. We have been able to expand our operation to Morgaton nc and look forward to feeding the community of vale and Morganton for this summer. We also have a redesigned logo and in the upcoming months will be offering merch. so stay tuned and don’t forget to support local farmers.

From the freezer to the plate. We are excited to announce that we have a processing date this year, our date is 6-1-24 just in time for the summer to cook up great meat such as you see here.

We are now offering quarters, half’s and a whole cow to supply your family needs for local grass fed beef.

Quarter of a cow is $6.50 lb

Half of a cow is $6.00 lb

A whole cow is $5.50 lb

This is on the hanging weight. We do require 1/2 down on a deposit and our weight range for most of our meat is800lbs -1000lbs. Here on the farm we are thankful for lot’s on this special day. But more then anything we are thankful for god giving us the opportunity to do the things we do and to look after his hamburgers. Second we are thankful for the men and women that could not be home with the family on this special day. It may be the police officer or the emt, or the soldier that is fighting for our freedom right now. We couldn’t have this life and be able to enjoy this day without them. Just remember to thank them all in a small prayer before digging into all of that food!

As many of you know, small business is incredibly important to us here at Rugged Cross. We love to have been given the opportunity to have a farm photo shoot with a local photographer. Radiantphotoco is a photographer out of Charlotte, NC and loves to travel and shoot near the mountains and other areas around the Piedmont and Foothills. She truly nailed this shoot and gave us photos to cherish for a lifetime. Not scared to jump into the pasture with our cattle and get a little dirty to get the perfect shot. 10/10 recommend for your life events and even just fun photos just because. Support small, local businesses y’all. 🖤

Since we have officially hit 100 followers, we decided it’s time to introduce the faces behind this page!

Our names are Jason and Mia and we are the owners of Rugged Cross Cattle Company. The farm is located in beautiful Vale, NC. We currently have only black angus cattle, but have ventured out into other breeds such as miniature Herefords and a Holstein here and there. We have just started to process and sell our meat locally, but hope to expand in the coming months/years. We have two dogs between us, one that helps on the farm (Weston the blue heeler) and one that prefers to lounge and watch from a distance (Henry the mountain cur).
Jason is the head of the company and the one who started it all. He comes from generations of farming and cattle owners. He spends his full time hours working in construction, but the passion for farming runs deep.
Mia has always wanted to join in the business and after meeting and hitting it off with Jason in 2022, two passions became one. She spends her full time hours working in Emergency Medicine.

Together we hope to expand this farm and this page and offer local meat, merch, photography, and general education on the business and the cattle that drive it. Give us a follow and join us on this journey!
