Well apparently our sweet #7 had a midnight rendezvous with the dairy ram😂 either that, or these little cuties are a real surprise pop of color! Either way, another ram and ewe!

God is so good and faithful ❤️ I hope we never take this blessing for granted 💕 We are living out our answered prayers daily, Praise God!

‘Twas the first day of homeschool and all through the place
Was the look of joy and wonder on each child’s face!
The decorations were hung, the table washed clean
The children were ready for knowledge to glean
Dad took them for doughnuts to start the year right
And each student applied themself with all of their might!
Nature study, Bible lessons, and singing galore!
When it was over the little ones were asking for more!
So this is our prayer, will you join us, too?
“God Bless our homeschool, all the year through!”

*pictured is the aftermath of today. For clarity, the children *did not* ask for more, that was for cinematic value😂

Can I tell you about this tote full of felt?

My Gram amassed this box of felt for craft projects when I was little. In it I’ve found cut out turkey pieces, scarecrow faces, and various other shapes from her fun over the years. The large pink piece is from a poodle skirt she made for me that I absolutely had to have, and proudly wore to our 50’s day at school. Lots of memories lay between cheap pieces of felt.

And now she’s gone. But this wonderful box has endured.

I thought about donating it so many times. I was deep in postpartum depression without knowing it and had no use for crafting for many years.

Now we’re about to start our homeschool year, and I wanted to add some wimsy to our school space.

And here is the box. That blessed box.

And I sit here and remember all of those hours spent at her elbow, probably completely in the way, but she never said so.

So now I’m planning ways to bless my kids with the lovely pieces in that lovely box, and tell my kids about the lovely woman who put them there, and hopefully bless them as she has blessed me, and maybe shed a tear or two as I do.

I’m excited to share our projects, but for now I’m just happy to be in those warm, cozy memories.

Thank you, Gram❤️

I can’t believe how much I used to take this for granted. How wonderful heaven must be if this is nothing in comparison 🥹
