This coming weekend is the final party and market of the season. We'll have fresh lavender soaps on the table here in Vale at the Hot Springs Trading Post. The "Take off the Greasey's" is back on the table. This is a full display of soap since the Ontario Saturday Market is closed for the season. Some of these won't last long so come early.

Pretty bottle babies!

Started this morning with a new generation of dairy goats. 2 does and a buck. Pretty black and white paints. This is all you see in our herd these days. We don't breed divas. Our girls are all quiet in the barns and pastures, produce well and are independent.

We are getting ready for a couple of does to kid this summer. These are the only kids we will have this year. Also one last show the first part of August at Union County in LaGrande.

Currently most of the dairy goat breeders are in the middle of breeding their herds. This usually means hand breeding most of the does. In the process a handler gets really smelly. The best way to get rid of that smell is with a bar of goat milk soap, the higher percentage of milk the better. We just happen to make all of our bars like that. You can find them at Soaps on the Trail. We have a number made up for your immediate use here.

I am so pleased with Ivy. We lost her mom last year at 11 and Ivy was a single. Many many sisters in our herd and others. Soft textured udder, easy to milk, just the right amount of sass. She wants to be in my face and know what I am doing. Is right there to be milked. I can't say enough about her. Her herd mates milk through the winter and are quiet.

I have six doelings that need new jobs. They were june born all out of first fresheners. I am running out of room and energy. Pedigrees upon request as well as dam and sire pictures. Prevention practices followed. The dams are all still miking and valued at a dairy.
