Coffee Shop Associate / Barista

Moschetti Coffee Roaster is seeking a friendly, reliable, and energetic Coffee Shop Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities

* Prepare espresso drinks, coffee beverages, and other café offerings
* Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
* Sell whole bean and ground coffee and Moschetti merchandise
* Assist customers with coffee selections and product recommendations
* Prepare, package, and organize online and wholesale orders for shipment
* Bag, label, and stock coffee for retail and wholesale customers
* Operate the cash register and process customer transactions
* Maintain a clean and organized café, retail area, and workstations
* Restock retail products and supplies
* Support coffee tastings and special events

Qualifications

* Friendly and professional demeanor
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Previous barista or food service experience is helpful but not required
* Interest in specialty coffee and willingness to learn

Schedule

* Part-time or full-time positions available
* Weekend availability preferred

This year’s Juneteenth coffee is a remarkable Burundi Kayanza Butanyerera Natural, produced by smallholder farmers in the Kayanza region at approximately 1,650 meters above sea level. Bursting with notes of red grape, strawberry, maple, baking spice, and cacao, this coffee showcases the dedication and craftsmanship of the farmers who produced it and the team that roasted it.

This release is also an opportunity to recognize Khari, whose skill, passion, and expertise as a coffee professional played a central role in developing this roast. Throughout the roasting and cupping process, Khari worked alongside Joshua and Fabrice to evaluate, refine, and bring out the qualities that make this coffee exceptional.

For us, Juneteenth is a time to celebrate freedom, achievement, and the contributions of Black professionals whose work strengthens our communities every day. This year, we’re proud to highlight Khari’s craftsmanship, passion, and dedication to specialty coffee, which helped bring this exceptional Burundi coffee to life.

Coffee is built on connection—from the smallholder farmers of Burundi to the roasters who carefully develop each batch, to the customers who share it with friends and family. This coffee reflects that spirit of collaboration, respect, and community.
