Melody Lane Farm Alpacas Farm visits begin May 1, 2026. We look forward to visits from new and returning clients! Donations of $4/per person are recommended to keep animals in cookies.

10/7/2026 Our first Harvest Host Guests arrived today to spend some time overnight before they moved on down the road. Mary Alice and her husband Steve were absolutely wonderful and I think the experience for them and us was more than we expected.

We gave them time to settle in and brought some pound cake with tea bags, a brochure, business card with a pen and then set up a farm tour when they were ready.

They had been to an alpaca farm before but never up close and personal so it was fun to talk alpaca while they were giving cookies and enjoying the weather. Topping it off with some shopping we then left them to rest for the evening.

If you are not familiar with Harvest Host please check out their website if you travel with an RV and look for unique places to stay beside a Walmart or RV Campground.

We thank them for supporting our home and animals and hope that they will do that again some day.

10/05/2026 Today Rod visited us all the way from Venice Florida and brought along Tracy to introduce and meet. The day was perfect weather wise and after spending some cookie time with the alpacas we went inside to have a great lunch and conversation. Rod we are so happy that you are doing well and moving along with your life.

We look forward to seeing you again down the road as I know our paths will always cross when the time is right.

09/16/2026 My guy Maestro celebrates 18 years today with us at Melody Lane Farm. Maestro has been our therapy Alpaca with many kids and adults through the years. He loves his job, loves to be brushed and is an Alpaca who has always tugged at my heart

His time with us is starting to slow down and he rests more than he used to, prefers to stay behind more while watching from a distance but still loves his food.

So many of you have visited him over his lifetime so if you would like to stop by and give him some cookies, brush him with HIS brush or snap a photo I am sure he will still give you that smile of his and stand proudly if he is able

Maestro is a very special Alpaca!

09/11/2026. Brian and family/staff delivered another great crop of hay this year. 3rd cutting was so freshly cut that it will need to be cured for some time before we share out to the herd. With plenty left from last delivery we are ready for the winter and moving forward to the rest of the year and beyond. This was a very hard year for hay/crops with either too much rain or not enough. We so appreciate the hard work that Brian does all year round to take care of his clients. Hope you enjoyed the pumpkin pie.

8/10/2026 Met Ellen, Diane and Bonnie for breakfast and they decided to visit the farm after to see the animals and do some shopping the shop. A fun couple of hours. Laughed a lot and that is the best medicine! Thank you for supporting our small farm with your purchases and hope to see you again real soon. Love you gals.

07/14/2026 Today we had a lovely farm visit with Kristina who put the event together for Avilla, Kathryn, Katya and Inga along with all the kids who were so excited to spend some time with the alpacas before the real heat of the day kicked in.

I hope Pavarotti did not scare the kids when he decided to lay down and take a sun bath. What a guy!!!!!
