Here are our 2- 3,000 gallon water tanks at the top of a hill, the well pumps water to fill them then our whole garden is gravity fed (NO POWER!), we burry 2 inch PVC line down the hill to the garden and to the worm farm. The mountian in the background of photo of Lucho dog and Bambi goat drinking out of a mason jar is part of the 160 acres. The last photo is a unbuilt metal structure that I plan to build!

Please tell your friends that we have seasonal paid jobs starting in october for 3 months and lots of vollenteer work year round where you learn how to live off-grid and about permaculture practices. This is one section of our worm farm! Our neighbor have 13 horses and we pick up the manure to feed our worms. The horse manure is laid in long lanes with drippers and fresh manure is added to one side, the worms move as they finish eating the other side. This allows us to harvest worm castings or p**p from the eaten side without harvesting the worms. Worm p**p is fantastic organic fertilizer! Very expensive too. We put it in our compost teas or top dress with it. Shelby goat is eating the cardboard which prevents waterloss in 100 degree weather.

6am farm chores! Clean out mixing tanks! For 24 hours we bubbled up a compost tea in these 2, 275 gallon tanks. Using fish emulsion, calcium and magnesium, molasses, liquid kelp and worm castings. Once foaming with microbes which feed on the molasses, we fed it to our gardens. Then in the morning I wash the tanks with Lucho, our huge livestock guardian dog. Dirty work and a beautiful day.

Last week we got 8 new girly alpacas! They are super friendly and have beautiful colors. 2 black, 1 dark red, 2 brown, 1 fawn, 1 grey and 1 Oreo (black and white!). We are re-homing 10 of our males and will mostly have female alpacas. All free range on 160 fenced in acres = happy alpacas.

On Earth day 2017 Utopia Gardens cleaned up an illegal squatter grow on Lost City CA. They left behind hundreds of red solo cups, PVC, plastic and trash. Then we celebrated by attending earth day in Angels Camp with the truck displaying our clean up! Anyone can organise a good thing.
