We are in the process of ordering some hats to sell Big Daddy's Honey & Essential Oil Products, LLC and we are stuck between option #1 and #2 (Larry likes one and I like the other). So we are looking for feedback from our FB family and friends.

Today we got into all seven of our new hives and did full hive inspections to see what was going on inside. We found six of the seven queens. We added another box to all but one colony. The bees are already bringing in plenty of honey for Big Daddy's Honey & Essential Oil Products, LLC.

We did hive inspections today at our apiary. Our bees are rocking it! We will be pulling honey soon and will have it available at Big Daddy's Honey & Essential Oil Products, LLC.

We spent the afternoon doing hive inspections. The bees were very lucky that they didn't get knocked over in the tornado that hit Valley View this week less than a half mile away.

Our second swarm of the year. We almost look like we know what we are doing after 7 years. I think it is going to be a crazy year for swarms based on what we are seeing and hearing from other beekeepers in North East Ohio. Last week we finished up all our hive inspections at both Big Daddy's Homestead & Apiary and Oxbow Orchard and made a lot of splits to help prevent our bees from swarming. However, they still have a mind of their own and can still swarm. This is why it's so important for Beekeepers to stay on top of their hives by doing hive inspections every 7 to 14 days to do their best to prevent this from happening by either giving their bees more room or doing a split.
