Limerick Farms

Limerick Farms Raising registered Katahdin meat sheep. Our ewes are bred to lamb every fall and only the best are sold as breeding animals.

We choose the Katahdin over other breeds due to hardness of the breed, the fast weight gains, and the fact that the ewes are great mothers, and they produce ample milk for their lambs. Our farm is located in southwestern Oklahoma which is a hot and dry climate where the grass is sometimes not very good, but to look at or sheep you would never know. The Katahdin sheep is very adaptable to many different climates and the heat here does not seem to overly bother them.

All the sheep are gone. Just some equipment left. I can haul to Gatesville in the spring or Sedalia, Katahdin Expo. Most equipment is in like new condition. I have a creep gate, 2 hay/grain feeders large, 2 small hay/grain feeders, 2 mineral feeders, 1 8 ft grain feeder and 2 small lamb feeders. In addition to the equipment, I have antibiotics, vaccine, some dewormer, needles and many other necessary equipment for raising sheep. Let me know if anyone is interested. I have prices on everything. I am looking for at least 1/2 the value of the object, the only thing free is the grain that is setting in the freezer That was purchased right before I sold the sheep. Soon it won't be feedable. Thank you to the people that have purchased sheep in the past. It is my hope that our bloodlines will live on for at least a little while. We loved raising sheep and talking sheep. My last two dogs of which only one was guarding is slowly becoming a house dog. Gunner the end of my blood lines Anatolian Sheperd, still guards the chickens and ducks from sky and ground predators. He will not be sold I am done selling my dogs. He is being slowly introduced to bikes, strollers and people that want to pet him. I try to prevent the petting since he hates it, but everything else he is slowly getting used to. Although at PetSmart some people act like he is a wild animal that is going to eat their little dogs.
I will post pictures of available equipment.

All sheep are priced and for sale. I am tired and ready to let them go. No, they are not free, and I am not selling them cheap. They are priced at what I believe they are worth. The yearlings are not yet mature, so they are a little cheaper. No one is fat or looks like they are being fed grain because they have not been fed grain this year. No one is creep fed and yes, I am starting to supplement with hay Timothy hay not round bales of alfalfa. They eat what my horse eats. So, if you want sheep that live in tiny pens and
are fed grain and alfalfa buy your fat sheep elsewhere. I don't have the money for that nuisance. No, I do not have my sheep in the NSIP crap either. I am going to attempt to list my prices on the web site. So please check my website for pricing. All sheep supplies will be sold with sheep for $500. The value exceeds that but once the sheep are gone, I want everything gone. Hidia is starting to work with the sheep again. She is not perfect, but she doesn't lay a mouth on anything, or she would not be out there. She does kill chickens. Have not decided if I am willing to sell her or not. Gunner is not for sale. Remember Limerickfarms.com for pricing.
