Royal Velvet Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
is a popular, highly aromatic English lavender. Prized for its dark navy-blue calyces and deep violet petals, it is widely grown for culinary uses, dried floral crafts, and garden aesthetics. It blooms twice a season—in late spring and early summer. Holds its color when dried, excellent culinary lavender for cooking and teas. Pairs beautifully with lemon in baking.

Shearing day is happening NEXT WEEK on the farm, and these cozy cuties are ready for their annual spa day. Out with the winter coats, in with lighter, happier alpacas just in time for warmer weather!

It’s one of our favorite traditions of the year—and trust us, it’s oddly satisfying.
