When one first hears the word it almost certainly conjures up images of a green bush. Shrub has a lesser-known meaning, though, so archaic that it is not even on Wikipedia (Root & Revelry Craft Soda Company aims to change that...). During colonial times, fruit was stored in vinegar for preservation. the fruit-infused vinegar would then be sweetened and added to water to create a refreshing drink.

Root & Revelry Craft Soda Company is using this age-old method, with fresh fruits to hand-craft a lightly carbonated, distinctly fruity beverage.
