May 5th. May I share with you how awesome our God is? Let me preface by saying Ronnie, the dog, and I are doing great.
Yesterday, Monday, while traveling about 40 miles an hour, another car going about 40 miles an hour blew off their stop sign and t-boned us. Witnesses said our truck rolled five times B4 stopping upside down. I remember holding my head in my arms, and every time the truck rolled, and the roof got closer (you know how everything goes in slow motion), I thanked God my head was still on my shoulders. God is so good! Civilians took incredible care of me until rescue people came. For all of you precious people who love Ronnie, she seems to have come out very afraid, but physically unscathed, somehow. We recovered her at Royal Acres Country Club in Valpo (for dogs), in their office. I'm not sure who took her there yet. I remember a wonderful woman at the scene kept her from running away. If you know who she was, I would love to thank her in person, along with the other civilians who helped in SO many ways. I can't thank our First Responders enough! They were like a fine-oiled machine and gave me such hope and peace. There were so MANY massive blessings! The drivers side BACK door was pushed in approximately 2 ft (not my door), I had my seatbelt on, even though the bottom part of my body was wedged in the passenger's foot area, the just-filled gas tank was missed by only inches, the baby I was driving to pick up was not with me yet, and after being airlifted to Chicago, I walked out that same evening without one thing wrong with me (except bruises and soreness)! Is THAT not mind-blowing! Each time the truck rolled and my head was still protected in my arms, I remember hearing myself saying "Thank you, God!".
If the Lord has you on planet Earth to see another sunrise, please TRUST He has created you for goodness and a purpose! Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". HE DEEPLY LOVES YOU!!
