For 30 years, we’ve had the privilege of serving our community with fresh produce every summer. During those 30 years, we’ve also worked full-time jobs while running the stand, and we haven’t had a summer off because we truly love what we do.
We’ve had a lot of questions this year about where our produce comes from, so we’d like to share.
We are proud to partner with Garwood Orchards in LaPorte, where about 90% of our produce is grown. We receive fresh deliveries every day to make sure you’re getting the freshest vegetables possible.
Some fruits, such as berries, peaches, plums, citrus, and other seasonal items, are sourced from neighboring states or out west when they are in peak season. The simple reason is quality. Those regions grow certain fruits exceptionally well, allowing us to offer you the best flavor and freshness available.
We’ve never claimed to be a farm that grows everything ourselves. We are a family-owned produce market dedicated to bringing you the highest-quality produce we can find, supporting local growers whenever possible, and supplementing with the best seasonal produce from other growing regions when needed.
Our goal has always been the same: to provide fresh, delicious produce, friendly service, and a place our community can count on. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who chooses to shop with us and support our small family business.
