Day 42 of framing. Labor shortages, and Mon-Fri work at best. We have made some major modifications to our floor plan from the original floor plan, but bottom right gives the hint of what our little farm house should look like when we can finally move in.

We found out yesterday, that our white farmhouse will require an exterior paint job in order to get the look we want. Who knew that white brick and white mortar was hard to match. We ended up selecting a cheaper brick since it will be painted. Here goes the budget!

What is chemical injection/soil injection? Soil Injection uses non-toxic, water soluble chemicals (potassium salts and ammonium ions) that are injected into the ground under your building. These chemicals inhibit a soil’s ability to absorb water so that your soils do not swell up; sometimes referred to as soil stabilization.

Now that we have filled this 21,000 gallon tank 3 times, hoping by Monday(our 4th time filling) we are done with pre slab work and our form boards will be set shortly once this process has been completed.

So ready to get our home building process moving along here at the farm!
