Hey y’all! We’re the Broadbent family—the crew behind the cute Barbie-inspired shaved ice trailer at the Food Truck Park in downtown Van Alstyne. We live, work, and play right here, and we’re proud to call this community home. Our mission? Simple: serve up refreshing, sweet moments to our neighbors while staying connected to the town we love. Whether it's Insta-worthy Shaved Ice, Dirty Alanis, or flavored Red Bulls, we're all about bringing families together and smiles to our bellies and faces. We’re no strangers to shaved ice—The Sugar Bar was born in 2016. After years of research and testing, we’re confident our flavors and products are top-tier, and we hope you agree!

Brooklynn and Jesse are twins entering their junior year at VAHS, juggling Athletic Training, Football, Baseball, Youth Group and serving at Church. Brooklynn is The Sugar Bar Manager and Jesse is who you'll see towing and setting up our trailer at events. Our goal is to get back to having two trailers so they can each take one with them to college to continue to earn money and learn how to run a business. C**t, our big 5th grader, is a social butterfly who’ll win you over with his bear hugs and energy. My pregnancy with him was the inspiration for the whole brand and from conception he's been the ultimate taste tester. One day he'll get a Sugar Bar trailer of his own to manage. Watch out world :)

Tim is an Assistant Superintendent with Crossland Construction, and I’m a local Realtor with Crew Real Estate. We’re hustling just like you, doing what we love for this amazing community, while trying to raise these kids up right.
