I couldn’t figure out how the tiniest hen we have is collecting all these eggs to hatch! NONE of these belong to her!!! This morning I came out to discover that several hens are getting in the box WITH her to lay eggs, and Skippy is then tucking them under. 🙄

13 eggs under this tiny chicken and 10 baby chicks hatching in 2 weeks from the incubator. The plan was to have Skippy mother the incubator chicks... but she’s decided on her own plan. 😬🤦‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s been awhile since we have given a farm update! We have had to really get these girls under control. I thought the girls had slowed down on laying since the daylight hours are shorter. It turns out, they were all laying eggs in our garage!!!

I found a black bucket with 14 eggs... and this spot full of eggs!! Please tell me how this is more comfortable than the MANY nesting boxes in their coop!

Today’s weather was incredible!! There was such a sense of peace in the air... and all of the animals managed to get along today. EVEN the dogs!!!!

I can’t tell you how happy this tiny farm makes me❤️ It brings positivity, purpose, and comfort to my life like nothing else.

Pungo brought Stella and Madge outside today for the first time and Kal is THRILLED to have his main squeeze back ❤️

Our first hatch of chicks are getting so big and spend most of their day away from Momma now. Unless they get a warning from Dirk and then they are back at Patricia’s side.

The last picture is my little project over the last three weeks. Our bunnies got so big and were miserable in their cage. Our chickens and cats live together in perfect harmony... so why not our bunnies? Aspen and Solitaire spend their days hopping around, and today, followed me to the coop!!! At night, they hop right back to the garage for the night. ❤️

There is nothing sweeter than walking to the coop with a parade of chickens, three cats, and a huge bunny following behind me. 🐔 🐰 🐈
