Happy Sunday afternoon friends! As a working family farm, we appreciate and try to support other family businesses and young entrepreneurs. I’d like to share Boondocks Fiber with y’all. The owner Hannah is the sweetest, most hardworking, Christian young lady. If you love original hand drawn art like I do, you will love her shirt designs. Lazy Duck is my personal favorite! I recently asked her if she would design a shirt for our farm and I am so excited to share it with y’all. How it started vs how it’s going… y’all came to Summerville Farmers Market to grocery shop! Pork chops and shoulder steaks were the star of the show today⭐️We sold out of a lot of things today but we will be restocked and ready for y’all next Saturday🐷🫶🏻

Shoulder steaks, if you haven’t tried them yet you are missing out! Our current stock of shoulder steaks come from our Duroc pigs. These steaks are juicy and packed full of flavor thanks to the Duroc breed having much more intramuscular fat than standard commercially raised pork. The flavor is rich, savory and just slightly sweet. The texture is tender and almost buttery. And the same goes for our 1” pork chops! (These massive pork chops pictured with Fisher for scale-because he is a giant) Come to the Summerville Farmers Market this Saturday from 8-1 and get some real meat from real farmers. You won’t be disappointed!

We are thrilled that our delicious Duroc shoulder steaks were highlighted along side Shuler Strawberries and Peaches and Lowcountry Olive Oil in this weeks episode of Harvested and Handcrafted. This is why Summerville Farmers Market is absolutely the best! We are so thankful to be a part of a market community who goes above and beyond to help their vendors and farmers shine!
