🔥 HIDDEN MEADOW FIRE — TEMPORARY LIVESTOCK HOUSING AVAILABLE 🔥

If you or someone you know is affected by the Hidden Meadow Fire near Fargher Lake and needs a safe place to temporarily house livestock or other animals, please reach out.

McPhee Family Farms has several options available for temporary animal housing, including pasture, pens, and covered areas depending on the animals and their needs.

We know how stressful evacuating animals on short notice can be. If we have the space and can safely accommodate them, we’re happy to help.

Please message us directly if you need a place, and share this post so it reaches anyone in the affected area who may need help.

For the first time in 37 years, Mayer’s Custom Meats has been voted Best of Clark County! 🥰

Our story started in 1989 working out of the garage at Cathy’s parents’ home/business, Stephenson’s Meat Cutting. Then in 1996 shortly after Jeff and Cathy welcomed their third child, Aly (yes, Aly with the sassy attitude you’ve all come to know and love) Mayer’s Custom Meats officially opened its doors.

Over the years, all four Mayer kids have worked here. Cleaning gut barrels, working the counter to help customers, “advertising”, wrapping meat and just about anything else Dad could get away with before someone started asking questions about child labor laws 🤣

Three generations, 37 years, a whole lot of hard work… and we finally did it. But Mayer’s has never just been about the Mayer family. We have some truly incredible employees who show up, work hard, take care of our customers and genuinely care about this place as we would. We’re lucky to have such great people standing behind that counter beside us, and this win belongs to them too.

We think Cathy would be incredibly proud to see her husband, kids, and one day grandkids keeping the spirit and love of this small family business alive. ❤️

Here’s to living in the BEST county, with the BEST people. To every customer who has supported us through all the different eras of Mayer’s….THANK YOU! We truly wouldn’t be here without you, Clark County 🫶

Today, we honor those who came before us, celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, and remember that the American story continues with each generation.

This Independence Day, we’re grateful for the opportunity to serve this incredible community and celebrate the country we call home.

Our house made sourdough loaves are fresh out the oven and we’ve made LOTS for the holiday weekend! We also have some festive 4th of July cake pop and cinna-knots ready to go.

⏰ We’re open TODAY from 9 AM–5 PM (short holiday hours), but don’t wait too long our baked goods are known to disappear fast!
