Our journey to establishing Wallace Family Meats began when Frank Wallace purchased a Hereford Heifer named Daisy out of Lynn, MO in 1975. Armed with a desire to produce and provide quality beef, he used the family’s farm land, acquired by his grandfather in 1903 and passed down from previous generations, to launch his beef-producing operation. Nearly 40 years later, Daisy’s legacy has evolved int

o a herd of 150 cattle, half Red Angus and half Black Angus, roaming free across 250 acres of grass and woods. Our 5th-generation family operation incorporates our family values into beef production.

We all better get to praying because it's going to take an act of God to fix this...

With the onset of slower processing speeds:
1️⃣ Carcass weights are on the rise.
2️⃣ Showlists are growing larger.
3️⃣ Select cuts closed above $3.00/per pound for only the second time in history (second to the madness endured in 2020).
4️⃣ And American feedlots can't summon a bid on the cattle they have.

And please know that these problems affect everyone in the beef industry.

❓How are feedlots supposed to pay respectable prices for calves when they can't sell their fats?

❓Why are we letting our beef consumers be taken advantage like this at the meat counter?

❓And how long until there aren't any more local feedlots to feed calves as they had no option but to throw in the towel as they couldn't get a fair bid for their fats?
