Following the unfortunate cancellation of 2022 Tom Powers Triple Challenge, Super Sires executive committee members have agreed that the best option for its exhibitors, as well as stallion owners, is to move the classes and monies scheduled for Tom Powers Futurity to the legendary All American Quarter Horse Congress in October.
This change will increase the total Super Sires purse monies to more than $70,000 at the 2022 Congress.

Don't forget, if you are planning on showing in a Premier Sires class this year, all horses born in or after 2018 must have and present a certificate of eligibility IN THE NAME OF THE CURRENT OWNER in order to enter.
If you nominated a horse but do not have a certificate of eligibility, it is because we have not received a copy of the horse's registration papers to finalize your nomination.
Do not wait until the last minute to transfer ownership or submit registration papers... at this time we are NOT able to offer rush services.
For more information or to submit a transfer request, go to www.premiersires.com/transfer
Exciting news for ROOKIE exhibitors at the SPRING BREAKOUT show….
ALL ROOKIE CLASSES FREE OF CHARGE! Courtesy of the wonderfully generous Premier Sires program! Thank you Claire Binkowski for sponsoring all rookie classes for the show. Yet another great thing to offer for the industry!
Thank you to JL gate for the new round pen. Had it one week after ordering it.
There has been a lot of discussion recently regarding ways we can help new riders develop a passion for horses and encourage them to participate in AQHA shows. The bottom line is that no single rule change is going to be the answer. It takes ALL of us who already love this sport, doing our part to help it grow.
With that in mind, as a small first step, Premier Sires has added Rookie Youth and Amateur classes to The Premier with FREE entry fees! A Rookie division will be offered in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Showmanship, Horsemanship and Equitation and will run concurrently with the respective Level 1 class.
The show schedule will be online this week. Stall and RV reservations will open at 9:00 am CST on Tuesday, March 1st. More information about The Premier, which is being held May 27th - June 4th at the Kentucky Horse Park, can be found online at www.premiersires.com. Information about Rookie eligibility can be found at www.aqha.com/rookie.
Just a boy loving on his dog while everyone rides around them.
The ladies at BSB Quarter Horses, Shelley and Kim Donovan, are excited about a very special horse that has come out of their program recently. His name is Lil Rick E, and the 2020 c**t is the first foal by their celebrated stallion, Too Sleepy To Zip, that they’ve kept a c**t in quite some time.
Recently, the ladies passed the reins of Lil Rick E on to his new owner, Preston Bartow, who plans to compete with the c**t in Western Pleasure and stand him in the future. This will be a new foray into the world of Western Pleasure for Preston as he comes from a roping background.
"He has what’s needed in our industry- outcross blood," the ladies say. "Our gene pool is getting very small. He’s full double AQHA/APHA with the W20, and he’s great made. In the end, Rickie will be like his blood dictates (Too Sleepy To Zip, Too Sleepy To, Sleepys Man on top and Tomboy Rickie, Winners Top Choice, and his 1/2 brother Sonny Dee Bar on the bottom) You breed to the family, and he has a royal one.”
