Should we only do 6 flavors only so there doesn't have to be a chouce of flavor or maybe a mystery box?

Okay, we always share the BEST pictures… but let’s talk about a little mess-up. 😂🍪

I made this sweet cookie cake with buttercream icing on less than 24 hours’ notice. If I’m available, I will always do whatever I can for my amazing customers!

And honestly… it looked SO perfect when it left my kitchen.

Then I got in my car to deliver it, and about halfway down the highway I realized the Louisiana heat was NOT my friend. 🥵😂 Some of the buttercream border decided it wanted to take a little trip down the side of the cake.

I did my best to fix it before delivery because, obviously… buttercream + Louisiana heat = trouble. 😂☀️

But even with the little incident, I couldn’t bring myself not to share this cake.

Because as a small business owner, I know that everything isn’t always going to be 100% perfect. There will be mistakes. There will be unexpected moments. There will be cakes that look completely different five minutes later because Mother Nature decided to join the decorating team. 😂

I’m learning to embrace the imperfect moments, too. Because behind every cake is a real person who worked hard, cared about the order, and wanted to make something special for their customer.

So here’s to the perfect cakes… and the slightly melty ones. 🤦🏼‍♀️

It might be a late post but Happy Birthday to my first niece Levy! She might have tested me with this cake being mostly fondant, but whatever my girls ask for I will do my absolute best. The tears in her eyes made the 13 hour process completely worth it. KK loves you Levy bug thank you for letting me help make your birthday special.
