We will have bouquets at the Flower Co-op table at the Vashon Farmers Market 🌱 tomorrow. We also have a selection of bouquets at the farm stand throughout the week. DM me if you need one for a special occasion or person.

The farm stand is loaded with dairy. Strawberry milk is back in force after a brief absence.

After 7 long months of tending, the Lisianthus have finally exploded into color! Native to Texas, they love hot summers and our high tunnel provides the perfect climate.
Stop by the Vashon Flower Co-op at the farmers market tomorrow and you'll find lisianthus tucked into Venison Valley Farm's bouquets. These romantic blooms have an incredibly long vase life.

Lisianthus don't have a scent, but tuberose (second pic) have an utterly bewitching sweet tropical aroma. I'm instantly transported to Hawaii every time I walk past the tuberose bed - they're really quite magical. I'll have some on the market table tomorrow for you to experience for yourself.

It's Eat Vashon week! Post a photo of your Vashon-centric culinary creations with the tag, and you might just win a gift card to our farmstand!

We'll be running the cream separator tomorrow, and I know I'm looking forward to making a batch of ice cream afterwards. Cream should be in the stand in the early evening (I'll update the website).

While we won't have a cow in the parade this year (we have a heifer named Andi in training for next year!), we will have strawberry and coffee milk, as well as bouquets, at the VIGA booth on the Village Green.

Our farm stand is loaded with all the _good stuff_ going into the weekend, so swing by and support your local dairy farmers.

We loved the rain yesterday... Maybe enough to give the pastures one more flush before we move to hay for the dry season.

Andi says "Hi!"
You can see her and her momma Annika when you come by our farmstand. They're up by the barn so we can keep a close eye on Annika, who is due to calve this week.
Farmstand is jam packed for the weekend - fresh bouquets (also at the farmers market 10-3 today), strawberry milk, chai and coffee milk, lassis, cream, milk, lemon skyr and more.
The .greens.vashon produce fridge is stocked with spinach (unbelievably sweet - I've never tasted spinach like this before!), salad, green garlic and more.

STRAWBERRY MILK - NOW IN STOCK

We're always tinkering and trying to improve our flavors. Strawberry milk has gone through more iterations than any of our other products because there are so many variables involved in getting it just right. Well, we have arrived at something that we don't think can be improved on. The perfect strawberry milk is here, it's plentiful, and we plan to keep it around. If you love strawberry ice cream, you'll love our strawberry milk. Perfection!

It's peak grazing season here on Vashon Island, and the milk cows are enjoying daily moves to new pasture. It's a lot of work for us, but also makes for some super milk. On last week's milk test, three of our four cows were over 6% butterfat!

Here Kimber, Shallie and Daisy are grazing the hill above our little valley.

Butter is finally back in stock, and we're doing our best to pack the farmstand for the weekend ahead. You'll find whole milk, buttermilk, yogurt, lassis, chai milk, chocolate milk and coffee milk, fromage blanc and cream.
Gracie's Greens spring veg: salad, little gem lettuce , salad turnips, green garlic and more!
