So happy you are coming in to provide great starts to our community!

Introducing Peak Moon Nursery!

Hello, Vashon Island! We're Selena and Keaton, and we’re so excited to introduce ourselves and our family to you—along with our new venture, Peak Moon Nursery. Alongside us is our 13-month-old son, Kash, and our energetic 4-year-old pup, Kota.

What started as a small backyard nursery three years ago has blossomed into something we’re incredibly passionate about. As a longtime Vashon local with over 15 years of experience landscaping and growing vegetables, my love for cultivating plants and sharing meals with family and friends has always been at the heart of what we do. My work with Tilth Alliance—where I grew plant starts and worked to connect with diverse communities throughout King County—deepened my understanding of how food truly connects us all. While we may not have traveled far and wide just yet, we’ve had the privilege of learning from the wonderful cultures right here in our own backyard.

The dream of growing Peak Moon Nursery into a full-fledged business became a reality when we had the chance to rent the greenhouse from Michelle of Pacific Potager as she retired. It was an opportunity that felt too good to pass up, and we are incredibly grateful to continue sharing edible starts with the community. We honor Michelle’s wishes to retire so we will NOT be selling from her house and will update everyone as we have our location finalized and where you can find our starts.

At Peak Moon, we are committed to offering the tried-and-true varieties that thrive in the Northwest, but we’re especially passionate about sharing diversity in our crops. We want to showcase unique and lesser-known varieties—some of which might be staples in other cultures, and others that are just plain fun and different. Our goal is to offer plants that you can’t always find in big-box stores, and to bring something new to your garden each season.

We’re so excited to grow alongside this vibrant community, and we can’t wait to share our plant starts with you. Here’s to the growing season ahead and all the connections we’ll make through the love of food, gardening, and community!

With gratitude,
Selena, Keaton, Kash, and Kota
