Starting off the 2026 with a quick but productive trip to Vegas! So enjoy some pictures of a winemaker out in the wild away from its natural habitat of Barrel Rooms and Vineyards. Had to rep the Seahawks hat during the wine dinner!

Blood alone moves the wheels of history! Have you ever asked yourselves in an hour of meditation, which everyone finds during the day, how long we have been striving for greatness? Not only the years we’ve been at war, the war of winemaking, but from the moment as a child when we realized that the world could be conquered. It has been a lifetime struggle. A never-ending fight. I say to you, and you will understand that it is a privilege to fight! We are warriors! Cellar teams of Washington State, I ask you once more: Rise and be worthy of this historical hour! No revolution is worth anything unless it can defend itself! Some people will tell you Washington wine is not cool enough for their cellar. They’ll conjure up sayings like are you from Washington DC? and isn’t to rainy to produce wine in Seattle? This is our duty: to change their perception. I say winemakers... and sales reps of the world unite! We must never acquiesce for it is together, TOGETHER, THAT WE PREVAIL! We must never cede control of the wine shelves and menus!

Only when you have conquered a harvest may you stand upon the remains of your labor. This is for all my winemakers, cellar rats, and interns in the northern hemisphere who have stood strong through the throes of Autumn to come out the other side in one piece.

*This pile (78 Tons) of grapes skins that will turn into future compost while the juice (now wine) is happily fermenting for the second time in oak barrels.

Real winemakers drinking real wine. It’s that simple. Old World vs New World. White vs Red. WA vs CA. While it is fun to compare and contrast, at the end of the day we should all be drinking wines from producers who believe that less is more, who are continually trying new wines to expand their own knowledge, and are dedicated to keeping the craft alive. So to sum it all up, we make wine that is Handcrafted AF (as f**k).
