Swarm number 2. We were minding our own business in the wood shop when we looked out the door to see a cloud of bees. One spray of swarm commander, one box of drawn frames, and one very tall ladder later the bees seem to be checking out their potential new home.

Calvin and Maggie went out this evening to catch our first swarm of the season. It's dry and nectar is hard to come by but these hives were massive and strong coming out of winter. I don't think this is the last swarm we'll find in this yard.
