Just a quick introduction with breeding season here for us and rapidly approaching for many. This is STAV Fine Tune 17N. We retained this bull to use on our heifers.
He is outcross to our genetic base and really has the eye appeal and smooth build we desire in our cattle. His dam is a model cow purchased from 3C Christensen Ranch who is super feminine and maternally made. Her current calf is already at the top of the 2026 class.
If looking for a heifer safe option that will make top tier replacements with economically relevant traits consider Fine Tune.
We expect his progeny to carry the natural shape and dimension he does.
Another plus is his outstanding disposition.

A longtime friend and customer, Zach Guy of Blue Sky Ranch in Veblen, will be bringing a load of 80 solid black replacement-quality heifers weighing 750–800 lbs this Thursday to Sisseton Livestock Auction, Inc.

All home raised. All sired by Stavick Simmental bulls.

For years now, Zach has strictly bought Stavick Simmental bulls. When he comes to our sale, he isn’t there to window shop — if there’s a bull he wants, he’s taking him home.

Dave and Mike have been longtime customers who consistently select our top-end bulls with length and performance in mind, and their calves reflect it. Running in the same summer environment as our herd, these cattle are built to be good and hardy.

Full vet program by Sheyenne Valley Veterinary Service: vaccinated at birth, fall shots and pour-on (11/25), with another round and pour-on on 2/1.
