this blue pair will be the start of my BBS pen! 💙

even with my color pens not fully separated, these two are inseparable!🤞🏼

i recently learned that blue x blue is called a BBS pen. blue, black, splash! so many of my favorites. and this pair will be the foundation of that program for us!

i’ll be continuing this pairing and hopefully adding a few of my blue and splash grow outs in with them as well. (some are showgirls 👀)

although our main goal with this pen is to focus on our blue hen, who is our favorite and best quality, and use her genetics to strengthen and carry over into our splash and black pens. 😊

she also has silkie frizzle feathering 🙌🏻
(mind her tail, she’s clearly more than just our favorite 🙈)

and Armani, the beautiful blue roo who has really filled out since we’ve had him! 💙

Happy New Year from our farm to yours! 🎉🐓

thank you to everyone who has been here every step of the way this year! what started as a small hobby and a simple love for chickens has grown into something we never imagined, and it’s because of the support, encouragement, and love we’ve received along the way!

2025 has been such a special year for us, our farm, and all of our animals. we’ve loved every moment of the growth, the learning, and the memories it brought sharing our love for these animals!

as we continue paving the path for our future, we are so excited for what 2026 has to offer and cannot wait to share what’s coming next for our ever growing farm! 🦃🐄🐐❤️
