Ad Originem Farmstead Holistically Designed for a Happier Animal and a Healthier Harvest

Located in the gentle rolling hills of southern Indiana and inspired by our Catholic faith, Ad Originem was created with the desire to be good stewards of the land and preserve the dignity of God's creation. Our family farmstead provides forest/pasture raised pork and poultry and grass-fed lamb and beef. Carefully tending the soil, plants, and animals through regenerative practices and rotational grazing, each customer can feel confident and at peace about the quality of meat going on their table.

Moving pigs to fresh pasture

They’re headed out of the old paddock and into a new one with plenty of room to root around!

We’ve taught the pigs to come when they hear the sound of our UTV. They have learned that sound means food, so when they hear it, they come running. Makes moving them from one paddock to another a whole lot easier.

We love watching the pigs move as they were meant to—rooting, grazing, foraging, and making use of the land around them.

Raised in good order, from pasture to table.
