Sage Hill Kennels & Dyemond Rabbitry

Sage Hill Kennels & Dyemond Rabbitry Hi Guys! Welcome to Sage Hill Farm. We are always adding a little bit of something (whatever we have time for) so check back often!

Here at Sage Hill we've got a bit of everything. We've a large garden, enjoy making our own wine, have rabbits and as many cows as Kate can sneak in. Our main focus is our German Shorthair Pointers. Our GSP are prime hunters and we enjoy AKC Hunt testing and blood tracking with them.

I've come to realize that our first post on the Clarion County Youth Field Day didn't post. Freya, her daughter, Brandy, and Hemi all had a great day playing with kids and birds. Brandy, who was just about 5 months old, showed everyone just what we're breeding for in our pups- brains, great natural ability and instinct on birds, and a loveable goofball. Having a well bred pup makes a world of difference even to the best of trainers.

And thanks, Tom, for snapping some photos.

I'm thinking it's pretty safe to say that we're expecting an Autumn litter in a few weeks.

With that said, anyone interested right away please get ahold of us and watch the page here for the announcement that they've arrived. We will begin taking deposits right away.

I'd also like to take a moment and explain our 'draft' order and puppy picking procedure as we've run into a few issues as of late.

1. When placing your deposit you must lock in as either male or female.

2. The order in which your deposit is recieved determines your draft position. 2nd male deposit = second draft position on the male side.

3. 1st choice is not pushed to start making their pick until approximately 6 weeks; but they may choose earlier at their discretion.

4. After the first selection is locked in, 2nd may proceed at their discretion. And so on and so forth.

5. You will know what draft position you receive when your deposit is placed. We will tell you "you are 2nd pick, 3rd, etc." You must understand that if you are 3rd pick and there are 4 females, you need to accept that you will have 2 pups to choose from- ie you need to like at least 3 of the available females.

6. Deposits are non refundable. If you wish to roll your deposit into a future litter you may, if not - there is not a return.

7. You will be notified of any draft position changes. For example, 1 buyer rolls into another litter and you move up in order. You would only move UP in order, never down.

This is the fairest procedure that we are able to use and allows everyone a fair opportunity in evaluating conformation, intelligence, attitude, etc of their pups. As breeders we are looking for the absolute best dogs to move our program forward and continue to provide the highest quality of dog. It also allows us time to get to know each pup and provide guidance to their prospective new owners as to which pup will be best suited for their goals.

There will now be a deposit agreement/acceptance going forward.

We're always available to explain this process and why we will always stick to our values with it- we are not breeding dogs to sell puppies, we are looking for the best qualities of our next generations antd hoping to place our pups into the best home situations as possible.

When you take home a Sage Hill dog, you're taking a piece of the family, our hearts, and home so we will always do our best for them.
