Oregon State Fair 2026 is a wrap! The biggest highlight is of course getting to spend 5 days with wonderfully sheep-minded friends… talking about sheep and wool!

Last day in Australia and it was a truly memorable one! Visited merino stud flock number 1: Winton Saxon Merinos in Tasmania, the oldest registered flock in Australia and it’s still being run by the same family.

The history here is palpable and the sheep and wool were beautiful 🐑🤍

The Aussies have been incredible hosts and it’s wonderful to connect with folks all over the world who share the same passion: sheep and wool!! 🇦🇺🐏

Day 3 of flew by, but don’t worry, I still managed to spend plenty of time admiring more truly incredible fleeces! 🤩

I was also so grateful for a few all-too-brief catch-ups with my fiber-loving friends and . We first met at the World Congress of Coloured Sheep in New Zealand in 2024, and it was wonderful to see them again. Wool really does bring people together! 🐑❤️

Now I can’t wait to return the favor and show them the colored sheep of the USA in 2029! 🇺🇸🐏

Final verdict: Best. Weekend. Ever!!!! 🐏🐑✨Thank you Bendigo! 🇦🇺

Day 2 : living the dream in merino wonderland 🐏🐑
The quality of sheep & wool here is almost surreal- pinching myself that I get to meet these animals and the shepherds caring for them!

Day 1 @ : Merinos, merinos, merinos galore! My eyes are spinning and my heart is pitter-pattering after spending the day with such unbelievable company! 🤩🐑🤩🐑

I even found some natural colored ones 🤫
