After taking the majority of our time in Venice to plan and begin outfitting our eventual retirement home, we found time to visit a nearby brewery. We were pleasantly surprised. Such a nice space. B**r is excellent. The panini sandwich soooooo tasty. They had a c***r offering from a Florida company that Theresa really liked. They also offered local wines too. Since I’m now a loyalty member I guess I’ll be coming back when I visit Venice in the future!!! 🍻

While the ladies were enjoying a bridal shower at the house, took Nathan and the guys to Split Rock Distillery for a tour and tasting. Outstanding visit! Highly recommend if you’re near the Newcastle area. If you enjoy cocktails or enjoy your spirits straight I guarantee there is something you’ll enjoy. I think I’ll be stocking my cabinet with more Split Rock bottles over time. 🥃 🍸 How’s everyone’s Saturday?? 😃

Woke up to rain, but the weather cooperated for a nice Jeep ride out to Wilton to visit Ambition Brewing. Enjoying a nice flight or varying b**r styles: Berkey is a quenching Pilsner that is a great on a hot day like today…. Stop. Hammock Time, Cream Ale is definitely a b**r that can be enjoyed all afternoon and into the evening when doing just about nothing! The Hazy IPA is what you’d expect in a traditional hazy….. The Maple Bourbon Simmer Brown is in a class of its own. Many many flavors competing for attention. Sweet. Rugged. Strong. Caramel. I could see this one being enjoyed in front of the pellet stove on a cold winter night…. But let’s not talk about that crap season anymore!!! Nice spot tucked in downtown Wilton. Friendly staff. Food options. Definitely recommend. Cheers everyone on this gorgeous hot Saturday!! ☀️ 🍻

So I had to take a quick run to the local grocery store. When I got to the stop sign, this caught my eye. For a second I got excited! Pale? Stout? IPA? In my hometown!?! Then the wind was taken from my sail when I quickly realized that the “S” had fallen over. 🤦‍♂️ :-/ 😂 Darn….. Hope everyone has a great Saturday! 😃 🍻
