There’s a reason the modern Scotch whisky palate has gravitated towards the potent flavor combination of Sherry cask maturation with unbridled power.

Whether its Oloroso, Pedro Ximenez, Amontillado, or Palo Cortado, Sherry’s rich, sweet, and nutty flavors pair perfectly with the inherent maltiness of single malt Scotch whisky, which is why Spain’s empty Jerez casks have been making their way north for nearly a century. What’s changed over the last decade, however, is the seemingly limitless desire for more punch!

Whereas older generations evaluated their Scotch whisky based on how “smooth” it felt on the palate, today’s enthusiasts are constantly on the hunt for the darkest, most concentrated single Sherry barrel specimen, bottled without dilution at the boldest ABVs imaginable. Lucky for us, we’ve been able to source a number of potent single Sherry barrel, cask strength whiskies for the American market and they’re still in stock online!
