This is what 40 bales of ALFALFA, 3 bales of COASTAL & $1200 later looks like!

They are all 3 strand bales so they probably weigh at least 125 lbs each & hopefully will last us 6 months or longer. I do give alfalfa to all the animals….. goats, cows & even the chickens love it 💖
October is supposed to be the best cut of the year so I wanted to stock up on it. And boy does it smell amazing when you 1st open the barn door!

Dad & Papa are the hard workers on the farm & I truly couldn’t do any of this without them 🫶

If you’re looking for great quality hay check out Azle Alfalfa out of Azle TX, I’m a customer for life!!

It’s gunna look like a really big dog house with a wrap around porch lol!
We need more pipe to finish the floor & then we can start adding the wood!! The goats will be able to hang out on top or underneath 💜

Bill gets to work on his projects too 😉

He’s been wanting to add a fountain to the pond for a while now. The pond is his baby lol, he’s always trying find ways to improve water flow and functionality. He found a fountain that has lights, which I loooove, the sound of the water splashing is so peaceful & it will help oxygenate the water better for the fish 💖

We don’t need another dog…. we don’t need another dog…… lol

Found this sweet girl in the front yard with the puppies this morning. We’re gunna shave her & get her all cleaned up and see if we can find her owners.

I love feeding at sunset 💛🧡

The judges said my goats are too fleshy lol so I’m gunna drop the grain to almost non existent I guess 🥹……. but everyone will still get a little alfalfa & coastal

✨Howling Goat Farms CANDY CRUSH✨

“Candy” won GRAND CHAMPION 🥇& then went on to win BEST DOE IN SHOW in Ring 3 under judge Erin Griner!!

Excitement is an understatement! I fell in love with Candy’s mom the minute I saw her, Princess Diana is such a beautiful doe all the way around 💜. I can’t thank Meredith at Howling Goats enough for trusting me with this amazing girl!

She’s only 7 months old so we’ll wait till next year to breed her……. it’ll be worth the wait 😉

I have really come to love showing goats 💖
This is only our 2nd year & we have learned so much & met so many amazing people 🫶

Even though I was under the weather all weekend I wanted to make the best of it 😊
Case was the only one that joined me this time & we always bring lots of fun things to do….. legos, puzzle, magnets, matching game, etc….

This was the Fire & Brimstone show in Brownwood TX which was about 2.5 hours from the farm.
We took Sunny, Blondie & Candy….. Slick was signed up to go but he had to stay & settle a doe and I really wasn’t up for dealing with 2 bucks this weekend.
All the hotel rooms were booked so we got to try camping out at the barn, it went so good we’ll probably do it again next year!

The goats did great & I’ll make a post tomorrow with their placings 💜💜💙

Next couple days will be an adjustment for both of us but it’ll be nice to get a 3 month break from bottle feeding 🥰
