Mom and pups relaxing after a hard day of work. The pups are now ready for their forever home. They are socialized with goats sheep, poultry and cats. Please PM for more information if interested.

Akbash pups available for consideration. Mom and dad are UKC registered, pups are eligible. Will only consider farms and homesteads as suitable homes. These are working livestock protection dogs, not pets. They are socialized with a variety of poultry, goats, sheep ( large breeds); and are sociable with the barn cats. Vaccinated and microchipped with health certificates expected in another week or so. PM for more info if interested.

Thanks to Hillbilly's Katahdins, the genesis of our Katahdin breeding program is here. 3 unrelated ewes and 2 unrelated rams. Excited as we grow as a farm and expand into new areas.

Kidding season 2022/2023 has officially started. Great Pre-Christmas gift of a buck and a doe. Many more moms on the verge of popping and the work intensifies for me.

Spring, the time of renewal, rejuvenation, growth and births, has been evident in all areas of the farm even in the midst of extreme drought.

Poultry has been doing well. The ducks started laying in winter and now there are 20 ducklings on site with chicken hens sitting on some duck eggs. The female ducks are back at laying. The chickens have been equally busy and the pics reflect chickens hatched on the farm so far. The guineas started laying early spring and though laying for the first time have been egg machines. I gave their eggs to broody chicken hens and so far there are 9 keets in the broader and over forty eggs still being sat on. I will leave the mama guineas to sit on the eggs they lay from this week forward. I will post keet pics when they are feathered fully.

The turkeys, not to be left behind exceeded my expectation. I added a new juvenile tom in Spring and they wasted no time. Hatch rate is over 95 percent so far. One mom has 19 poults with her and all the other four hens are on over a dozen eggs each. Turkeys, ducks and or chickens anyone? Feel free to pm me.

The food forest is naturalizing well. Squash and pumpkins are bearing, as is roselle/sorrel, sweet potato, and okra. The rainy season is expected to start next week and I anticipate exponential growth and increase with the natural irrigation. Feel free to pm inquiries.

Papayas doing very well. Putting in new varieties in 2022. Expecting to have lots of green and ripe fruit by year end.
