Y'all even with an alarm on my cell phone, I can't get the hang of posting what I am doing...weather it be whatever I am working on. I just dismiss the alarm and continue with what I had been doing weather it be wrecking, driving, picking or chasing chickens.
Yesterday i was in the middle of making beds! When the alarm went off... Field was finally dry enough! So I put 6 rows/beds in!
Also say Hello to our little friend, who needs to be find a new pond. Apparently the beach from our drainage ditch to the pond..is a super sunning spot.

Still dont know what to do about the "airstrip landing" hole in the hoop house but the Other half of irrigation is laid, just too whatttt.....make a trip to town for supplies. Day by day.

09/07/2020
What is Labor Day? Kids off school equals real labor day! Hand Weeded, lopped branches, and even cooled off in the pond! No Tears, No Blood = Awesome Morning.

09/06/2020
Well poop...yesterdays rain storm made a hole be enough to land a plane in! Thumbs down from Mama. Now to plan to fix....BUT HOW...
DAY BY DAY. LOL

09/02/2020
To finish irrigation in Hoop House, we need more jets. The ones that are broken got weed wacked off during the summer...oops. So what does that mean.....a trip to town. Again. Our closest gas station is 20mins away, let alone a plumbing/hardware store. We in the woods out here. I would not have it any other way! Getting ready for October! Can't wait to see everyone!
We use these jets on our half inch poly. They water both sides of the beds at the same time. The hoop house has "permanent" irrigation with poly pipe rather than drip tape in the field. Drip tape is meant to be used only once, then recycled.
09/02/2020
Watered, seeded, planted and inspected field crops.
Cleaned, inspected, checked fluids on mower that caught fire yesterday. Shes okay ish and she still cranks!!

09/01/2020
**Plants in field like the rain we got. Not too much. Just right for today, no water needed. Thank you Mother Nature. We go Day By Day. Sometimes hour by hour**
Today we worked on/in the hoop house/sweat lodge. Fertilizer spread, rototilled, put irrigation down & fix one side of the roll up sides. Even some seeding. Done. We trying to solarize where the poly pipes are. Kill that grass organically. It will grow literally everywhere. (Evil) but....Then eventually bury the lines to the sweat lodge. Went to town for supplies....of course, whats new on any farm.
Got a phone call. 4 miles away from the farm. Its an emergency! Fire! Mower! Wtf! Slammin gears! Fast thinking from the operator, they put the engine fire out before I got there. (Everyone safe, just freakedd out and possible burnt hair!) No explosions! Zero Turn Mower is fixable...i think. We then calmed our nerves and drug the mower to where we can do a deep cleaning from the fire extinguisher dust and inspecting...well everything!.
Cause of Fire: most likely old grass ignited from the heat or a spark of a bad wire or a oil leak that helped the flames. OR all of the above. Who knows.
Lessons Learned: know where a fire extinguisher is at all times and how they even work! Lol AND clean the equipment throughly, ENGINE included! Everyyyy time. I am horrible and remembering this or even doing this...yuckk but Apparently necessary. Lmao. Just Glad no one is hurt, mowers can be replaced. The fast thinking operator is taking the day off tomorrow. 😆
Day By Day. Hour by Hour TODAY.

08/31/2020

Hoop House Part 2
Well...apparently sides could not agree...left or right. Or one side was sick....6 feet apart to the maximum. Sounds a little like current news. LOL. Pup is a great Supervisor.

Pup & Water
Mother Nature filled the bucket yesterday. Guess she wanted to see the pup with water too...The pup found it and loved it. ❤

Rotovating
Gotta rototate very slow to get it ready for beds. I love flat surfaces. To use this equipment you have to have clean dirt, meaning not heavy in organic material. Side note: PTOs are my worst nightmare.. The pto is the thing that spins the giant rotovator blades when turned on. Or blades on a bush hog ext.

Small disk
Small disk before it decided to...well f up. We have to have the telephone pole tied on the the disk for a counterweight so the blades can break ground. More weight less passes.

Organic Fresh Veggies Available
