Venus Veggies Certified Organic Farm in Venus, Florida. Founded By Jeffrey (Red) Troup. Growing Kale to Squash to Lettuce selling at Farmers Markets acrossed the state.

Venus Veggies is a Cerified Organic Farm. We are located in Venus, Florida. We sell at Farmers Markets, such as Cape Coral, Sanibel, Englewood and Lakes Park. We grow many types of vegetables when they are available and in season. Our season is mainly Oct through May. We start growing in August to have product for the markets and orders. Some of the products we grow thru-out the season is okra, pe

ppers, tomatoes, collards, mustards, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, dandilion greens, pickles, cucumbers, squash, eggplant, radishes, beets, swiss chard, bok choy, arugula, fresh cut mint, onions, leeks, kale, cauliflower, corn, and much, much more. Our main top item is lettuce though. More than 8 kinds of lettuce. (Romaine, red leaf, green leaf, boston, simpson, tango, summers crisp, and others) It takes a lot of work and about 20ish acres to get it all in and producing but in the end, you, the costumers, friends, and employees make it all worth it. Isn't technology great but confusing at times? I think that's one good reason we love organic farming! Well I thought I had our Instagram and Facebook linked but it appears not! So some more updates!
We've started making beds, and transplanting a few weeks ago. Rain is slowing us down but that's Florida for ya!
Markets are here! Also, one more market is being added to our roster, to be announced soon!

Hello! Did you miss our regular posting?! We're back on Facebook and excited for this Farmer's Market season! We have some markets lined up and more to be announced! We've missed you all as we took some time off for the summer and our Hiatus from Facebook is over so expect regular posting again! Who's ready for Farm Fresh Organic Produce?!

This is Amelia speaking, one of Jeff and Karin's daughters. I have become an admin for this page and will be keeping you all updated on Venus Veggies.

Again, this paragraph is Amelia speaking and not necessarily Venus Veggies as an entity. We've had a rough time since Jeff passed, his loss was unexpected and completely shifted out world. We've had ups and we've had many downs but we are still going and I am determined to keep Venus Veggies a Highlands County staple in the community. Venus is home and Highlands County is our community, the support yall have shown throughout the many years is greatly appreciated and we feel the love. Coming into this past summer we had to completely shut down for off season but we're gearing back up for Florida Farming season, fall-spring, and we are excited and happy to be able to provide Farm Fresh Organic Produce. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments. We can do wholesale, custom orders, and much more, we love to accommodate as many people as we can as we've always been a farm to table kind of operation, selling directly to the customers.

We hope to see yall at the Farmer's Markets and more are to be announced. That being said we are also looking to hire part time, market vendors, and always accept volunteers!
