With so many new people from Mansfield showing interest, I thought it would be great to share some info about the farm with everyone. We’re a small 3-acre vegetable farm, I’ve been growing vegetables for 15 years during which time I frequent the Cowtown Farmers Markets in Fort Worth.
We have a Venus address, but we’re super close to almost anywhere in Mansfield or S. Arlington! Just a few minutes south of downtown Mansfield, or about 3 minutes from the new Costco.
I’m into organic farming, but I haven’t gotten certified, and honestly, I’m not sure I’ll ever do it because it has a pretty steep price tag.
We’re not like a grocery store with fixed hours and everything prepped for you. We change up our crops with the seasons. We’re a working farm, and I’m always busy planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, and doing other farm work. I love harvesting the crops the day you visit, so you can enjoy the freshest, highest-quality produce.
Why choose a local farm? Because the food is picked right when it’s at its peak, so it travels less and keeps all its flavor and nutrients. Plus, you get to see firsthand how the farm operates by chatting with me while you’re there!
