Legends aren't born. They are made. If you know us - you recognize the pup pictured.
Katie was a legend and she made herself that way.
She was the first to greet our game bird buyers, the one to load them in the catch pen, and the last one to see them leave in their boxes as the customer left.
She was a member of our team and a mother of some amazing pups (some of which had pups that have taken on her mantel). Most of all, she was the best companion. A best friend. And lover of good people and an even larger lover of good pets.
Here marks the end of her era but the beginning of a new one where her granddaughters thrive in the work she enjoyed doing.
Take a moment and think of your furry comrades. Cherish them when they are here because someday they won't be.
Fly high, little girl. Get those birds penned up for us up there. We will see you soon.

Good news for quail hunters! Oklahoma's statewide quail index is up 68% over last year, marking the fifth straight year of growth.
